Jordan Brand will be releasing the Air Jordan XX9 Russell Westbrook ‘White Infrared in the month of December and today we get an in-depth look at this model. It makes sense that an Air Jordan XX9 PE would release for Westbrook as he is the face of the Jordan XX9. Not only that he is having another great season. As you may know, Westbrook has his own signature with the brand, the Jordan Westbrook 0. However this model is a lifestyle release and not intended for on-court use. The PE made for Russell Westbrook features a clean white base and midsole with infrared hits seen on the branding. The translucent midsole makes for a nice touch as you can see the number 30 bleeding through to celebrate 30 years of Jordan Brand. The final detail is Russell Westbrook’s logo of ‘RW’ placed on the tongue.
This Air Jordan XX9 is a “Russell Westbrook” edition. They come in a white, metallic silver, wolf grey and infrared 23 colorway. Featuring a white-based upper with silver grey and infrared 23 accents, a full icy translucent outsole and Westbrook’s logo on the tongue. This Air Jordan XX9 Russell Westbrook “White Infrared” is the latest colorway from Jordan Brand, Dressed in a White, Infrared and Metallic Silver color scheme. This Air Jordan XX9 features a full one-piece woven upper done in all-White, with Metallic Silver detailing throughout and Infrared accents on the Russell Westbrook tongue logos, and Jumpman logos.
The Air Jordan XX9 ‘Cal Golden Bears’ will be worn by the schools basketball team soon but today we have a first look at the latest Jordan XX9 PE. The Cal Bears edition of the Air Jordan XX9 comes with their matching school colors of navy and yellow. The base will dawn the shade of blue using Flyweave material while a white midsole is intact. Other details include yellow hits throughout and obviously the highlight of this pair, the Golden Bears mascot featured on the side.
While Cal fans might not be feeling great after this weekend’s loss to Stanford in the Big Game, those fans would do well to remember how blessed their squad is in the player exclusive sneaker department. This Air Jordan XX9 “Cal Golden Bears” is a reminder of that. The sneaker appeared on social media last week, although this looks to be the only photo of it at the moment. The sneaker follows the approach of similar Air Jordan 29 PEs by planting the school’s mascot on the Flyweave upper.
The California Golden Bears at the latest to get their own exclusive Air Jordan XX9 for the schools men’s basketball team. This Air Jordan XX9 “Cal Golden Bears” features a full Navy base Flyweave upper with Yellow detailing on the inner interior and rubber outsole, as well as an all-White midsole. The highlight of the shoe is the school’s Golden Bear Mascot on the shoes lateral sides.
As Russell Westbrook and team looks to make an impact this season, Jordan Brand looks to have created a new Air Jordan XX8 SE PE for the young talent. A member of Jordan Brand, Russell Westbrook’s new player exclusive takes on a “Why Not?” motif with multicolored camouflage uppers and a unique outsole contrary to those seen in the past. This shroud-less version sees OKC team colors and may in-fact be a PE that Westbrook dons sometime in the next few months.
Shroud or no shroud, the new “Green Camo” may be the best we’ve seen so far from the upcoming Air Jordan XX8 SE collection. Staying true to its colorful palette, Jordan Brand works in a green camouflage pattern with black carbon fiber and Hyperfuse materials. Complete with a mesh tongue and matching outsole, where does the “Green Camo” rank in your book? While the Air Jordan XX8 SE does do away with the shroud of the original Air Jordan XX8, it doesn’t look to be shunning the graphic looks that so often hit on those sneakers. Proving that is the upcoming range of camo looks. This one ends up the most straightforward of the bunch thanks to its more functional color mixture of greens, blacks, and browns that even get extended to the outsole. Continue reading for your best look yet at this Air Jordan XX8 SE “Green Camo”.
There are many of Air Jordan XX8 SE models set to release starting in October, and now we take a look at this “Green Camo” edition. This Air Jordan XX8 SE features a mixture of Black, Green and Brown making a Camo pattern. Trending print meets high tech performance on a “Green Camo” colorway of the Air Jordan XX8 SE. Relying off the engineered attributes that made the AJ XX8 a hardwood juggernaut, the AJ XX8 SE plays off the same Flight Plate and carbon fiber backing, appearing sans shroud for a slimmed down look. Dark and light shades of green grace the camouflage upper, continued on to the outsole. Black tongue trim and loud orange laces complete the colorway, with release info unknown at this time.
A year after its debut, and the Air Jordan XX8 is showing no signs of slowing down as the “Bamboo” colorway has been unveiled and given a release date. Seemingly offsetting the first XX8 to drop, the “Bamboo” opts for an all-white makeup, save for carbon fiber heel counter plates switched out in favor of the title wood. The Flight Plate is kept intact, matching the shoe’s contrasting black insides, with the box completing the theme. The NBA All-Star Weekend will kick off next weekend, which will include plenty of inspired sneaker releases. One of those sneakers it the Air Jordan XX8 “Bamboo” that features a premium White leather base with a Black bootie, hits of Bamboo wood on the heel sitting atop a White midsole.
Do you remember the Air Jordan XX8 “Bamboo”? That pair first popped up at around All-Star time last year, but never made it to a retail release. Interestingly enough they’re back again-and it looks like they might actually be releasing this time around. Important to note is that they’re missing the leafy pattern on the upper, but they’ve still got that wood plate on the back side that was actually sourced locally in Jordan Brand’s native Oregon. It’s important to note that this is the pair without the leafy camo print across the upper. This time around it’s a clean white for the shroud, complete with some choice perforations and a pristine leather. The Jordan 28 in question will arrive right after the All-Star weekend, which means they just might be easier to pick up than your average page thanks to sneaker fatigue.
Spotted at the Nike World Basketball Festival in Chicago last month with this jaw-dropping display of Air Jordans from 1 through 2012. It makes complete sense that Jordan Brand selected this base of White and Red, because Chicago is, after all, Michael Jordan’s “home” city. You may have seen similar iterations of the Air Jordan Legacy in this pristine white/red composition, and if you happened to stop by the Nike WBF in the Chi, you probably caught these in the Jordan Brand experience space.
The Air Jordans numbered series has come a long way since it originally released as a Nike Basketball shoe. On the way to the top, it transcended the shoe industry as well as the game itself. The company continues to keep old fans, all the while drawing in new ones. The combination of their new releases and retroing of classic colorways from the AJ numbered series has created a formula for success that is unmatched.
The Air Jordan 1 Gatorade ‘Cyber’ is added to the Air Jordan 1 collection which is inspired by classic Gatorade flavors. This Air Jordan 1 features Cyber throughout which is similar to a highlighter Yellow. Constructed with leather throughout, Orange lands on the Nike Air branding on the tongue label, Gatorade lightning bolt is applied by the heel while co-branding lands on the insoles. Other details includes a translucent outsole showcasing the Gatorade logo and comes with three sets of laces. They will also feature ‘Be Like Mike’ on the inside of the tongue. Each will come with an Orange hangtag, ‘Like Mike’ box and a Gatorade x Jordan Brand towel.
The Air Jordan 1 Gatorade Cyber will be one of four other Air Jordan 1 colorways inspired by the classic Gatorade flavors. Dressed in a highlighter Cyber colors scheme. This Air Jordan 1 Gatorade features a full leather constructed upper with Orange Nike Air tongues, Gatorade lightning logo on the heel and co-branded insoles. Other details includes Gatorade branded outsoles and “Be Like Mike” on the inner tongues. It’ll also come with an Orange hangtag, Gatorade x Jordan Brand towel, three set of laces housed in a special edition “Like Mike” box. Jordan Brand is continuing to roll out new colorways of classic silhouettes inspired by MJ’s connection with Gatorade. The latest sports-drink-inspired colorway sees the Air Jordan 1 get completely covered in orange from its leather upper to its semi-translucent outsole. The co-branding of this particular colorway is far from subtle, as the shoe is set to come with a Gatorade hangtag and features Gatorade branding on the upper and outsole.

Since its introduction into the sports shoe market, the Air Jordan’s global popularity has grown substantially. Today, the Jordan Brand releases many different Jordan shoe models and are worn by the top NBA athletes today. Back in 2009 and 2010 we were all captivated by the numerous images of the Air Jordan 25th ‘Anniversary Silver collection, which again, payed tribute to Jordan Brand’s 25 years of existence and continued excellence. At the time many sneaker enthusiasts were left to settle for a sub-par release of the Jordan XI ‘Silver’ and Jordan ‘Silver’ III, IV, & IX. we bring to you a full detailed image of the entire ‘Silver Anniversary’ collection. Though its probably in every collector’s dream to grab every single pair, we unfortunately do not have any release date information at this present time. Sorry folks, but do let us know what pairs you must have! It’s been nearly a year since the 25th Anniversary milestone of the Air Jordan came to close, but that doesn’t mean we’ve moved beyond it. The Air Jordan Legacy that has lasted twenty-six years will continue to anchor the brand that is now represented by contemporary stars like Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Paul – all hand-selected by Michael Jordan himself. The Air Jordan 25th Anniversary Collection surfaced last year as part of a traveling showcase that was featured at Nike locations world-wide; here we have another look at the entire collection from Air Jordan 1 to Air Jordan XXV (2010) laid out in an impressive spread of sneakers. Just five of the Air Jordans pictured above actually released (the II, III, IV, IX, XI).
We’ve heard rumors about a possible Air Jordan 25th Anniversary Collection. Well this image proves it: an all white Air Jordan collection, releasing each Jordan numbered model from 1-23 in all-white. Each shoe will use different materials, but will have the same theme. But again, anything can happen, as things usually do with samples. Big ups to the one and only Chris Paul for “tweeting” this picture online.
The blueprint of the Air Jordan statement shoe is sketched at least 20 months before product launch. Working from his homeland on Oregon’s Gearhart Beach, Tinker Hatfield dipped his pen in company ink in November of 2005 to conceive this early mock up of the Air Jordan XX3. The Air Jordan XX3 (23) was unveiled to the public last Tuesday at Nike’s New York headquarters. A rousing presentation of branded Michael Jordan video and anecdotal homage was cast by a panel of Tier-0 staff. Most attendees at the Air Jordan XX3 unveiling represented mainstream media outlets who covered the event for what it was. Sneaker Files would have done the same, but a live Q’ and A’ forum emerged in the room following the Jordan XX3 presentation. Questions were posed by representatives from media powerhouses such as CNN and Market Watch. Mainstream media outlets relay sneaker information in Layman’s terms for the world to comprehend, as the masses are not likely to read about a “hypothetical” concept discussion about the emerging Air Jordan XX4. A few hours following the event, Sneaker Files published a news break that the Air Jordan XX4 (24) had been “conceived.” Perhaps we ignorantly overshadowed the Air Jordan XX3 launch by publishing the Air Jordan XX4 “conceived” buzz item. Our Jordan XX4 story from last week was not a lead of misinformation or unnecessary hype. The leaders of Brand Jordan confirmed that work towards the Air Jordan XX4 is progressing in a form other than the imaginary.
Speaking about the Air Jordan XX4 last Tuesday at the unveiling of the Air Jordan XX3, Gentry repeated and rebutted his previous statement, “If I’m around, it’s going to end at (Jordan shoe, number) 23.” Gentry conceded, stating “I said that thinking that I would be doing something else… Now that I’m here, I think that because of the legacy we created, it’s incumbent upon us to continue to set the benchmark for the industry.” Finally, Tinker mentioned how it’s up to our reader reactions to determine the future of Brand Jordan. Believe it or not, your comments right here on Sneaker Files and other forums of new media are being read, tracked, and considered by Nike and the Jordan Brand.
Jordan Brand is now launching a new training shoe, the Jordan 23 Breakout. One of the first colorways is the Jordan 23 Breakout ’Triple Black’. Using a straightforward theme which features Black and Anthracite, this Jordan 23 Breakout is dubbed ’Triple Black’. As for construction, they come with leather across the uppers with perforations while a large strap is placed across the forefoot. The Jumpman is seen by the heel while Jordan is written across the tongue. Completing the look is Black used again on the midsole and across the outsole.
Jordan Brand has a knack for releasing new Trainers without giving them a grand introduction. The latest is the Jordan 23 Breakout. The Jordan 23 Breakout comes in a low top construction with perforations all throughout the upper for added breathability. Other details include rope laces, a neoprene tongue, and a midfoot strap. Jordan Brand introduces their newest Jordan 23 Breakout silhouette, which is inspired by the Air Jordan 11. The training shoe boasts a streamlined look with durable leather, a bold forefoot strap and signature details. Coming dressed in a Stealth-like look that combines Black and Anthracite throughout. Jordan Brand introduces a sleek new trainer to the world this season, the Breakout. The latest from the cross-training department of Jordan features a low-profile, streamlined look and feel with a perforated upper for breathability, a neoprene tongue for dynamic fit, a midfoot strap for extra support, and a Free-inspired Phylon midsole design with encapsulated Air in the heel for a combination of lightweight flexibility and cushion.
There are no words to comprehend what may be going through the minds of Jose Fernandez’s family and the Marlins organization. The sudden passing of the ace pitcher has left the city of Miami in shock, but the outpour of support has proven to be valuable solace to those affected the most. Two weeks ago, SoleFly dropped a teaser for an upcoming collaboration with Jordan Brand inspired by the Florida Marlins organization and its 1997 World Series victory – the first of the franchise’s history. It unpredictably arrives at a time of mourning and sad remembrance, so iIf anything, this collaboration could not have arrived at a better time. It takes a lot to bring a city known for bright lights and unabashed celebrating to its knees, and although Jose’s passing was a big blow to South Beach, the Marlins showed last night that the city would bounce back with ease.
The Air Jordan 22 is one of those signature models from Jordan Brand that didn’t receive much fanfare due to it being released after MJ had called it quits from the NBA.However if you search hard enough we’re sure you can find a few pairs in great condition, but none of them will be like this one here. One of only 23 in existence, this Air Jordan 22 from the Collezione Pack has been signed (both shoes) by Michael Jordan and authenticated by Upper Deck.
The Air Jordan XX2 (Air Jordan 22) was released on Michael Jordan’s 44th birthday, February 17, 2007. This is the 22nd model in the Air Jordan series which dates back to Michael Jordan’s rookie season in 1985.Like previous pairs, this model was not worn on the NBA hardwood by Michael Jordan but rather received endorsement from Jordan Brand athletes such as Chris Paul and Mike Bibby, while also appearing on the likes of JB schools such as Cal.Once again, the Air Jordan 22 encompassed more than just one silo as a 5/8 cut and PE model dropped. The PE model saw stronger ties to that of its endorsers than the previous Air Jordan 21 PE, with the Air Jordan 22 PE taking to the team colorways and city skylines of Ray Allen, Rip Hamilton, Carmelo Anthony, Joe Johnson and Josh Howard.
The highly anticipated Air Jordan 22 / 1 Countdown Pack is now available at Air Jordan retailers and Proper. The sneakers are featured in a subtle black and white theme which apply to one of the oldest Air Jordan’s, 1 and the new contemporary style of the XX2.This will see the release of the Air Jordan 22 (XXII) that will be released along side the Air Jordan 1 Retro High. Both styles featured in Countdown Pack number 8 will sport a simple white and black color-way, subtle but still appealing. The newer models seen in the Countdown Packages often get shadowed by the original model, but this Air Jordan 22 is something worth mentioning.
They feature an all red suede upper with black and metallic silver accents. The Air Jordan 21 (XXI) was designed by D’Wayne Edwards and is modeled after the Bentley Continental GT coupe. There is some resemblance to the car, presumably the car’s “matrix” front grill and the front of the shoe. Forefoot breathe-ability features are combined with a newly engineered durable textile for support and durability in key performance areas. An evolution of the I.P.S (Independent Podular Suspension) can be seen on these from the Air Jordan 20 (XX), and now include interchangeable cushioning technology with a customizable heel zoom pillar or heel encapsulated pillar. The carbon fiber shank plate offers midfoot and arch support, which adds to the comfort these provide, which is what they were truly built for. The I.P.S. technology is integrated with the outsole through raised herringbone pods for traction in strategic performance areas. This new innovative outsole pattern offers multi-directional traction.
The Air Jordan 21 Red Suede dressed in Varsity Red and Metallic Silver was released. The Air Jordan 21 (XX1 or XXI) was designed by D’Wayne Edwards and inspired after the Bentley Continental GT Coupe. The shoe featured an all-Red suede upper with Black and Metallic Silver accents. This release was arguably one of the better and louder colorways of the Air Jordan 21 to debut.
The Air Jordan XX1 (21) was a higher-cut Air Jordan model that was inspired by sport touring vehicles and designed by D’Wayne Edwards. Day 21 of #XX8DaysOfFlight celebrates the Air Jordan XX1 (21) that featured a carbon fiber shank plate and a seamless diamond-quilted booty. They also had their own independent suspension system from Zoom to Encapsulated air.
The Air Jordan 20 (XX) “Playoffs” is the latest Air Jordan 20 colorway set to debut later this year. This “Playoffs” aka “Oreo” aka “Cool Grey” edition of the Air Jordan 20 silhouette is dressed in a Black, White and Grey color scheme. The shoe has a similar style to the classic Air Jordan 12 “Playoffs”. Sporting a Black leather base with White overlay on the toe and wraps around the side, while Laser print is covering the strap and minor hints of Grey are seen on the midsole. The Air Jordan 20 has returned this year, and we will be seeing the shoe coming done in several different colorways. The Black/White “Playoff” Air Jordan 20 we originally scheduled to release earlier this month, but now it has been given a date. The shoe is coming done with a Black leather base and features a touch a White on the toe and outsole. The mid foot strap features the laser print graphics that the shoe is known for, while Grey is found on the back of the heel and midsole.
After Dez Bryant showcased a new Air Jordan 20 that later was being called the ‘Playoffs’, we kind of figured they would eventually hit retailers. Plus Jordan Brand was sending them to a ton of their athletes and associates in a way that they were promoting them early. If you wanted your own pair, good news since we now have a release date. The Playoff Air Jordan 20 is a new color scheme to hit the shoes. Using a black leather base for the uppers, white is added on the medial sides, outsole and on the heel. Both colors are again placed on the midfoot strap with white being used for the base and black for the graphics.
The Air Jordan 20 is inspired by an expensive trumpet, racing boots, and motorcycle tires. The shoe is dressed in a mixture of Black, Stealth, and Varsity Red color scheme. Featuring a Black nubuck material throughout the upper, with patent leather overlays, hints of Varsity Red sitting atop a Grey outsole. The silhouette was designed by Tinker Hatfield, while the laser detailing was designed by Mark Smith. Throughout the shoe are symbols that represent MJ’s stories that true JordanHeads would only know. They feature an all black color scheme with grey outsole and red inner lining, as well as plenty of patent leather across the upper. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the concept behind these are an expensive trumpet (musical instrument), racing boots, and motorcycle tires. They may seem weird looking or even ugly at first, but tend to grow on you, as the feature seem to become much more interesting. The design on the midfoot strap is modeled after the trumpets. Hatfield had visited with master trumpet maker David Monette. Monette’s “presentation trumpets” are beautiful and expensive musical instruments that had elaborate cut-outs and engravings. Nike’s laser expert, Mark Smith, was brought in to design the midfoot strap. The final design is a complex tapestry of symbols representing MJ’s experiences and stories. Each symbol is a cryptic puzzle that only die-hard Jordan fans can deduce. The XX is truly unique, in that it has a revolutionary cushioning technology called Independent Podular Suspension (IPS) system, as well as a free – floating ankle strap. Other technical specifications include leather, patent leather or nubuck uppers with laser-etched highlights, a phylon midsole supporting twenty I.P.S.(Independent Podular Suspension) “pods” on the outsole, and an internal shank plate in the midfoot area. This original colorway of the Jordan XX is considered the best of the series, and one of the most liked over the past decade. It’s sleek black upper with subtle red and black accents made them an instant classic. But when they return in March, peoples’ perspective might change a bit.The re-release has been spotted with a new look. Gone is the all black laser printed midfoot strap. This time around, the print is accented in gold, making it pop a lot more, and less subtle than its predecessor. Another alteration is the nubuck/patent leather combination on the upper, instead it will now be made up of leather and patent leather.
